Distance Learning Policies
Higher Heights Private School provides a flexible, Christian‑based distance learning program designed to support students as they complete their high school diploma. To ensure academic integrity and student success, all students are expected to follow the policies below.
Online Coursework
Students complete coursework through our online learning platform using BJU Press curriculum and materials.
Assignments must be submitted by the deadlines listed in each course.
Students are responsible for maintaining reliable internet access and keeping copies of all submitted work.
Attendance & Engagement
Distance learning requires consistent weekly participation.
Students must log in regularly, complete assigned lessons, and communicate with their Educational Coach as needed.
Extended periods of inactivity may result in academic review or withdrawal from the program.
Test Proctoring Requirements
To maintain academic integrity, all exams are proctored by Higher Heights Educational Coaches, either online or in person.
Proctoring Options
Online Proctoring:
Your Educational Coach may schedule a virtual proctoring session. During this session, the Coach will supervise the exam and submit the test directly to the school.
In‑Person Proctoring:
Students may also complete exams in person with their Educational Coach when available.
Proctor Responsibilities
Verify the student’s identity
Supervise the exam from start to finish
Ensure no unauthorized materials are used
Submit the completed exam to the school
Students must follow all testing instructions and attend their scheduled proctoring sessions on time.
Educational Coach Assignment
Every Higher Heights student is paired with an Educational Coach who provides support throughout the program.
Your Educational Coach Will:
Help you set goals and stay on track
Provide encouragement, accountability, and regular check‑ins
Assist with organization, study skills, and time management
Communicate with Student Support Services when needed
Proctor all exams online or in person
Celebrate your progress and help you overcome challenges
Educational Coaches do not teach or grade coursework; they guide, support, and motivate students as they work through their program.
